About the Timbers
Sustainability in mind.....
New Zealand Timbers
The New Zealand native timbers we use such as Rimu and Matai are produced from reclaimed timbers. These timbers are usually recycled from old buildings and can often showcase age fractures and nail holes. These features are not often present in our serving boards, but may be high-lighted in some of our other homewares.
International timbers such as Acacia, Beechwood and Karri are sustainable plantation grown timbers. Acacia is fast growing and therefore slightly softer timber, ideal for serving boards. Beech and Karri are heavier and more ideal for Chopping boards, however all varieties are great for any purpose.
